The Abode

Several have inquired as to the appearance of my recently purchased abode. I thought I'd finally cease procrastinating on this and share some photos. Enjoy....

Neat house! I like it. Did Elvis come with it, or did you have to pay extra for him? I wish I had an Elvis. I bet he makes for great dinner conversation.

Tell me something: How did you manage to get more than one picture into one post? I've tried that, but the system never lets me stick more than one pic into a post at a time. ???

Well I tried this thing called common courtesy and he liked it so he's been hanging out a lot more.

To get multiple pictures on the same post I had to do some trickeration. I created a bunch of different posts and then went in and cut the html tags and pasted them into 1 post the way that I wanted them and then deleted the extra posts. It takes a while but I like it better than having 1 post per picture.

Thanks for the pics Matt. It's about time! I love all the trees and greenery in your yard. It looks like a cute house. Congrats!

My photo service generates html for my pics before posting, enabling me to include multiple pics in a short amount of time.

Thanks Karen!

What photo service do you use?

Flickr. It was the only one for use with the mac at the time I started. It's very user-friendly.

Matthew, Glad to see you finally putting pics of the house on your blog! I'm surprised you didn't blog about it sooner than this! Is Gandalf still standing watch over the dining room?? Looks like you're doing a good job keeping it clean, but there's no picture of your bedroom!

When did the sleep apnea start?? I can't believe you in the crazy get up, you crack me up! I hope it's helped your sleeping habits improve!
love ya, Frau :O)

I like your pics. It looks good! Love you, Mom

Frau: yes Gandalf is still holding down the fort. He was a little shy though so I couldn't take his pictures. And I just forgot about the bedroom....

Mom: Thanks.

Hey, Matt, I forgot to ask where are all your pictures on the wall?!!!! Mom

Mgam said...

You see pictures on the wall? Maybe you need your eyes checked, mom!

Anonymous said...

No, I DON'T see pictures on the wall. That's why I asked where ARE all the pictures on the wall!! My eyes are fine, thank you very much. :-) Mom

Mgam said...

Oh they're there. You just can't see in the picture very well. They're much clearer in person....

Here is a mystery for you Matt. We've known each other for more than five years. I haven't talked to you in at least five years. We are neighbors (sort of). I found you from a post you made in the last month. Who am I. I'll check back and answer a question or two if you like.

Do I know you from college? M or F?

Anonymous said...

M, yes

Mgam said...

That REALLY narrows it down!! What year did you graduate?

I'll give it away with one word.

Very nice work my friend. First things first, I got to your blog from Steve's sister's blog - the Golden Child one. Anyway I've just been working. Amber and I have two girls (Grace and Claire) and we live in the Village as well (on Erin Place) As an effectve googler you have probably already been able to map my house.

I travel quite a bit. I monitor clinical reasearch trials & when I'm home I work out of my home office. We should try and get some lunch someday as you must work somewhere in the city. It seems like someone told me you were working for the school for a while. Anyway my email is davisjanda@sbcglobal.net if you want to catch lunch sometime.
