Why Should the Fire Die

Ok so it's not really brand new but if you like music you should check out the new Nickel Creek album Why Should the Fire Die. I won't give a review, because I'm not a music critic (actually my throat just hurts and I'm lazy but that's a better excuse) but it's worth a listen. If you are a Nickel Creek fan and for some reason haven't heard it, you can expect it to sound about as different from the second album as the second album did from the first. Onward and upward.....

i agree with you whole-heartedly. this album, while different in lyrical content from the previous two, is absolutely wonderful... a true delight to the ears, just like the previous albums. bravo nickel creek!!

I wish I could hear more of Nickel Creek, but they're not exactly available over here. ;o) However, I do have copies of some of their songs...from the first and second albums, I think. Yay! ;o)

Hey, I found your blog through Tamra, and well...I am a Nickel Creek fan, but I previewed their new album at Barnes and Noble and I was a little bit let down. I love their upbeat jams, but 80% of the cd was slow and put me to sleep. maybe I didnt listen to them enough. But i definitely still plan on seeing them live here in san antonio in november.

Hey Matt...don't think I've posted a comment on your blog before. Here's to a first! Anyway, I had to make a comment on this Nickel Creek blog b/c I'm a big fan, too. I actually ordered the CD online to be shipped to me b/c you can't actually find it in Germany! Talk about such a different sound than the last CD. It's great...I like how they never keep doing the same thing. Anyway, take care!

Mandy: I agree with you half-heartedly.

Court: You need more. They are good.

KaRessStar: You should be careful of Tamra. Thanks for visiting though. Personally I don't think this album is really all that slow. There are a few slow ones but there are several that are upbeat as well. It has a much darker tone to it overall though. Perhaps after you hear them live you will enjoy it. I know I heard them play Can't Complain live 2 years ago and it really stuck with me. Hope you'll come back and post again soon.

Amy: Thanks for breaking that barrier and posting on my blog. The first time is always the hardest. I agree with you on the progressive nature of NC. I eventually tire of groups whose sound never changes.

stwf9jydu71gxki: hey., thanks! I love you.
